It is with both excitement and gratitude that we embrace the responsibility of organizing the poster session for the upcoming congress of our professional society, slated for March 3-6, 2024. Witnessing the burgeoning interest in participation—evident in the substantial influx of submissions from both the local and international scientific communities–fills us with immense enthusiasm.
We extend a warm invitation for active engagement in this endeavor, recognizing that the contributions put forth play a pivotal role in propelling scientific advancement. Beyond providing a platform to share and receive valuable insights from seasoned experts, participation in this session is particularly beneficial for those seeking to immerse themselves in the dynamic realm of research.
For the American Venous Forum, this session signifies an opportunity to amplify the global reach of scientific expression, fostering an environment conducive to nurturing brilliant ideas. From our perspective as organizers, the poster session stands as a space for continual and enriching learning experiences.
Join us in Tampa in 2024. Embrace the opportunity to participate, share your wealth of knowledge, and relish this moment of meaningful scientific exchange. We eagerly anticipate your enthusiastic presence and active involvement in shaping this collective journey!

The Venous Health Inequities (VHI) session at VENOUS2024 should not be missed! Special abstracts addressing research on healthcare disparities will be presented, along with special talks discussing pertinent contemporary issues identifying vulnerable populations affected by venous disease, exploring hurdles to access to venous care, tackling the lack of dissemination of venous education among patients and providers, and much, much more.
In conjunction with the VHI session, the first AVF Day of Service will be held, promoting venous health and education within the Tampa community. The AVF Task Force on Venous Health Inequities has worked diligently with community leaders and faculty from Tampa General Hospital (TGH) and the University of South Florida (USF) to bring awareness of venous disease and access to venous treatment to underserved areas of Tampa. Through educational sessions, the committee and faculty from TGH and USF will provide anyone interested in the community– patients and providers alike–education on venous disease and where, practically, to be evaluated. At each annual meeting going forward, we hope to host similar events where we will be able to provide this type of venous education outreach to the communities who need it the most.
We will share more about the Day of Service and its impact during the Venous Health Inequities Session on Monday, March 4th at 8:30am EST.
