Select VENOUS2024 Presentations to be Available on JVSVL Simultaneously
Ruth L. Bush, MD, JD
President-Elect, American Venous Forum
Editor-in-Chief, JVS-VL
This year, the Journal of Vascular Surgery-Venous and Lymphatic Disorders is proud to announce that VENOUS2024 will have research from the meeting simultaneously published in the journal in collaboration with the American Venous Forum. A select number of VENOUS2024 plenary presentations will have their full-length papers available to read immediately at the time of presentation. This initiative allows attendees to access cutting-edge research faster than ever before, and with the journal fully open access as of this year, the research will be much more far-reaching. While open access publications allow for more equitable access to research, it does mean that authors incur an article publication charge. To encourage publication of all VENOUS2024 research, AVF will be covering the cost of this charge for all papers from the meeting that are accepted by the journal within a year of presentation. JVS-VL will have a session during the meeting providing updates on the journal, and don’t forget to find JVS-VL in the exhibit hall. You can learn about becoming a reviewer and pick up some JVS-VL socks and other merch. Thank you for your participation and we look forward to highlighting your work this year in JVS-VL!
Thank You 2023 Vein Specialist Contributors
